To create an interesting story, we as writers need to show the reader about people, places and things we are writing about rather than simply just telling them. This helps the reader get a clear picture in their mind and keeps them wanting to read more.
Today in writing we looked at how we could show our reader about how characters in our stories might be feeling rather than just telling them.
We started with the example: I felt so nervous before my swimming race.
We ended with: As I impatiently waited on the edge of the pool for my turn to dive into the water, my stomach started to flutter with butterflies and my legs began to shake uncontrollably.
